Londonderry Township Resident to Receive Girl Scout Gold Award
Sarah T. LaBarge, Londonderry Township resident and the daughter of Paul and Monique LaBarge, will receive the Girl Scout
Gold Award, the highest girl honor in girl scouting on April 22, 2012 at the Girl Scouts of Eastern
Pennsylvania - Century of the Girl Expo at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. LaBarge is associated with Troop 4907, West Sadsbury Township Building, Parkesburg. Previously, she
has been awarded the Girl Scout Bronze Award, Silver Award, and been a Octorara Service Unit delegate.
In addition she is a member of Future Farmers of America, Octorara Book Club and the Alpha Youth Group.
Sarah enjoys quilting, knitting, learning new craft projects, ping pong, air hockey, bowling, biking,
camping, and fishing. Her Gold Award project provided Chester County SPCA in West Chester with much
needed items to continue the good work they do in providing a second chance to animals of all kinds.
Sarah was involved in take-home kits and how-to pamphlets to teach families the basics of how to care for
a new pet so that it will live a long, happy, and healthy life. The township and board of supervisors are pleased
to offer their congratulations on such a lofty achievement. CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!

Londonderry Township Attempted Break-Ins
It has come to the township's attention that there have been some attempted break-ins in our area.
Specifically there have been at least 2 - 3 daylight attempts at residences on the stretch of road in the
300 "block" on Faggs Manor Road. It is the township's understanding that these attempted burglaries have occurred
on the weekends on or about November 4th and 11th. The supervisors would like to encourage all residents to be on the
look-out for suspicious strangers in the area and to lock all house and car doors. Many of us tend to believe
that since we are a rural community we are safe from predators, but unfortunately we live in an era where it
is best to be cautious. Should a township resident experience a break-in or attempted break-in, first and
foremost dial 9-1-1 to report the incident. In addition we ask that you please notify the township office
(610-869-2138) of the incident so that we can be aware of any criminal activity in our area.
